When I see 17 year old girls walking around with kids I think there should be some restriction because its just ridiculous which you need to raise a kid properly. You should be prepared to welomce a child in to life and being a young idiot doesnt cut it. They and the father have no responsibility. Then if you really think about it the government already has to much control over our lives so no I would not agree with it.

Yes, you are right, that is ridiculous. But more independent thought would also mean that people start to really think for themselves, they should be harder to manipulate and more capable of overseeing consequences. So this too should lessen in frequency

Indeed, those teen moms are bad. If she was raped, then I can understand her having a child but having a child just because she's a slut and [!@#$] around with random guys should not happen.
I kinda envy the times where manners and fear shaming yourself or your family kept people decent.
I think that this also has to do with it btw, as a lot of kids choose to go out and party rather then pass their year.

Yes, but I really believe that making people THINK is a solution to quite some problems, it would make people realize how foolish the current trends are and could do something against it.
Though it may not solve everything, I bet it would make the world a better place, to quote Russell again: "Many people would sooner die than think. In fact they do"

Yes, but I'm not sure of all people posses the ability to think

The ability to think is in my way there in everyone, else where would be the difference? It's just that people are taught not to think, but to repeat that which is said to be true, something which eradicates a lot of our ability to think. So we should stop telling people what to think and start asking them what to think and to openly and reasonably discuss their opinions with them as a way of teaching

I agree Einstein. The way methods of teaching kids has been gone about in the wrong way. It's basically here are the facts now use them to to solve this problem with this method. I have a perfect example of that from my own experience. My grade 11 chemistry course was so easy because they taught us how to do everything. There's not a single thing we had to think about for ourselves. I realized that at the time and totally took advantage of it. At the end of the course I got an A without every even trying or any understanding of what was going on. When I got to uni we were taught a lot of the same stuff as in our chem 11 and 12 class with more detail and we actually had to prove we understood What was going on and we can figure problems out by ourselves with the knowledge we have.
Teaching us to think for ourselves is what creates new concepts and ideals and that's what we need, not people who can mimic what is already known.

If you improve the quality of public education, your crime rate will definitely go down.
If you teach children proper firearms use at the age of 4, and keep your populace armed, then yes, your crime rate will definitely go down.
If you kill your career and violent criminals, such as armed robbers, rapists, etc., your crime rate will definitely go down.
One of the biggest problems we have here in the states is the fact that they add all of the folk who are behind bars for simply smoking a joint into the crime rate. This totally distorts the true crime rate. They also add in all justifiable homicides by firearms into the "gun crime related deaths", which is complete [$#@!]... and yes, they are so ignorant here they call them "gun crimes", implying the gun committed the crime. I bet if we executed the entirety of our filthy, anti American, communist media our crime rates would go down, for it is they who propagate hate and racism, along with extreme ignorance regarding... well... everything. So yeah, crime could drop by a plethora of other alternatives to parenting licenses.

Yes, but crime is just part of the problem. People aren't taught to think, so they will end up in worse jobs than they can handle, get bored or hopeless and start committing crimes. So instead of discouraging people from doing crimes by high punishments let's pick up the problem at the root, teaching people to think. Next to decreasing the crime rate, it will probably increase the national income, improve the international concurrence position etcetera, so it's also extremely beneficial for the government, though only on the long term

Yeah, crime is a symptom, as is MTV, Paris Hilton (oh [$#@!]! I just remembered a point that I should have brought up in the intelligent animals thread!) and that Goddamned [!@#$] annoying Rhapsody commercial I saw more than a few times... I am going to personally torture to death everyone involved in that commercial making its way to my eyes and ears. WARNING: What follows is the most annoying commercial ever made, and is absolute proof of the need to cull the human race! Idiocracy is a documentary. HERE is concrete proof.

That is soooo weird! I can't believe people actually like that much of idiotic stuff in one commercial!
We definitely need to start destroying Idiocracy and make people lose that stupid herd instinct!
