Apparantly the UK government has been talking about the possibility of implimenting a system where you earn credits by looking after old people, and these credits are used towards your own care later in life. They already have this in Japan?

I don't like it, this government is so obsessed with volunteering, which is all well and good for them with all that money so they don't need these credits, and even if they wanted to volunteer their time isn't being taken up jobs and stuff.

Well it's better than punishing people who don't help old people...

This basically would be though. If you don't have the credits and can't afford care then err...

Yeah that's a little weird. I don't really know why but it just seems too controlling of your life.

Surely they will keep some sort of basic care?
Else zero is right, then it will get down to punishing people for not taking care of old people

Wow that sounds very harsh.
You didn't help old people in your life, so we won't help you!

Yes it is, and it won't even work properly. It is quite commonly known that punishment works far less effectively than reward

Yea, plus not everybody has time for this.

That is a problem of our community and our economic system, which in my view are both ridiculous
The world could be so much better, unfortunately I don't think I will ever see it at it's best

That is the most frustrating thing though isn't it, the world COULD be so much better, but all the BS gets in the way.

Yes it is, but all we can do is tolerate all the evil around us and try to make the world as good as we possibly can, though that will probably be very difficult

How about a ticket system and using taxes to help the poor cause it's not like the government needs all the taxes to keep a country alive.. And the ticket system could be combined with your wage, the tickets could then give you something extra like a vacation to a country? I know it would fail but sure is worthy trying alltough they did it back in the days.
