Renaissance-divided into ars antiqua and ars nova established the polyphony ergo counterpoint and the music was modal. A few schools are present Franco flemish, Ferrara and Venetian schools...
Most famous composers of this era were Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina,Josquin des Prez,Jacob Obrecht,Johannes Ockeghem,Guillaume Dufay, Gilles Binchois, Antoine Busnois,Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Andrea and Giovanni Gabrielli, most famous Claudio Monteverdi ect.
Baroque- Most famous composers were Bach, Haendel and Vivaldi and in this period polyphony was was highly regarded and in 1722 was a essay established in the concept of harmonics, and music was tempered not existing in modal music but in major and minor tonalitys.
Classical era-gradually turned to the importance of the melody instead the overall picture of the music wich was regarded as a strong basis(harmonics) and decoration(counterpoint). Diveided into two parts, Mannheim school-The early Classical period-most famous composers were;Johann Stamitz, Franz Xaver Richter, Carl Stamitz, and Christian Cannabich. And Late classical period includin Haydn,Mozart, and Beethoven and Schubert who gradually introduced romaticism.
Romantic era-In the Romantic period, music became more expressive and emotional, expanding to encompass literature, art, and philosophy. Famous early Romantic composers include Schumann, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Bellini, and Berlioz. The late 19th century saw a dramatic expansion in the size of the orchestra, and in the role of concerts as part of urban society. Famous composers from the second half of the century include Johann Strauss II, Brahms, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, and Wagner. Between 1890 and 1910, a third wave of composers including Dvo?ák, Mahler, Richard Strauss, Puccini, and Sibelius built on the work of middle Romantic composers to create even more complex – and often much longer – musical works. A prominent mark of late 19th century music is its nationalistic fervor, as exemplified by such figures as Dvo?ák, Sibelius, and Grieg. Contemporary classical music 20th and 21st century- envoving impressionism-Debbusy,Ravel;Satie, expressionism-Schoenberg, Webbern,Berg, and neo clasisicism, neo romantism , composer made style signatures and division itno jazz rock funk metal ect...[hr][/hr] A rather minor historical representation but i'll aproach it in different ways in the future the development of counterpoint, harmony, biographys, ,jazz funk, metal, and others are invited to do so too
