Imagine our universe as a sheet of paper and imagine us as dots on this paper. Now we can move around this paper in all directions but we can't leave it's surface. This is our universal model.
Now imagine that there are (infinite) other pieces of paper stacked one on top of the other. These represent alternate universes, we however cannot visit them or see them because while they occupy the same space we cannot move from one sheet to the next.
So here is our universal/alternate universe model...
What makes this even possible is that the universe is not perfect, we aren't and it is likely neither are alternate versions of our universe. So here goes....
Ghosts may very well in fact not be spirits or visions of a past time per say but instead a cosmic blip. This blip of course is caused when our sheet of paper comes a little to close or touches another creating a non-physical window in which for short periods of time an alternate universe becomes detectable by our senses.
As it turns out there in the future may be a way to escape our universe and go to another by creating a temperature so hot with a quark gluon soup, it rips the piece of paper and allows us to move up and down to other sheets.

I don't really get this alternate universe model theory actually. From what I've read from Kaku, he said that universes are like bubbles forming on a plane. All with different laws of physics, etc. But these parallel universes suggest that they all have the same laws of physics and differ in very little from us.
Also I heard that the universe is a balloon, with us on the surface, that gets blown up rather then a sheet. And that makes more scene to me tbh, as everything seems to be moving away from us.
Not trying to rip on your theory but the basis just doesn't correspond with my understanding xD But yea, if this is all true then I can see it happen.

I understand what you mean, and it may very well be true, great theory! Aside from the universe being like a piece of paper, I agree with this theory for the most part as being possible.

Actually our universe is like that piece of paper from although it's not really paper. The very same for those dots apply to us in the universe, we do not have a means to leave and go to another. We are bound to it like those dots the paper unaware of the other sheets. But maybe just maybe those sheets of paper come in to contact or at least really close to alignment. In other words Alternate universes may be overlapping each other for brief moments of time. Now wormholes and black holes are not really causes here. Instead flaws in ours and other alternate universal designs are.

Yeah but I'm trying to tackle one subject at a time.... This doesn't really have much to do with expansion but your right about the balloon. Still though the math points to alternate universes which all occupy the same space on that balloon. The theory about the multi-verse which is what you described along with the basic model of our 4D universe which is correct. What I am describing are aleternate/parallel universes or 'many worlds'. I was never talking about multiple universes but rather ours and it's variants. Universes that are separated from each other by a single quantum event. In this sense since we know our universe which we exist in has flaws than so should our variants. These flaws may allow from time to time a glimpse to an alternate universe and Earth.

Oh, so your saying that the multiverse is a bunch of universes who all have an endless amount of quantum "twins" who are all occupying the same space? I guess that it makes sense, but it needs some time to sink in xD I always envisioned them like this: Really makes you feel small doesn't it?

Not really, and especially since I know I will have to exist in another reality or rather infinite realities beyond this one. With all alternate realities occupying the same space all separated by single events closely related to on another. It will still leave room for other completely different universes outside our own and does not go against the big bang and multiple big bangs..... This is what would make hyper drive possible. Zap into a reality where the universe moves at speeds faster than light and use this as a mode of transportation zapping back into our reality in another location. However one must take into account out universe may not even really exist along with it's endless realities. Who knows maybe we are part of a giant super computers simulation of an entire universe particle for particle. Kinda like the 'Matrix' except that we don't really exist outside the simulation either

Or even scarier, maybe we are part of an atom.

Which in turn would be part of an atom (another universe), which in turn would be part of an other subatomic particle. Makes no sense, and it's kinda scary too... but it's fun, lol.

If we're part of an atom then i'm assuming that means the atoms that exist in our certain world has an entire universe inside it... what?

Well it is an existing theory, not sure if it's a serious theory though, can't find it on google. It does appear in a few movies though, like MIB and once in the Simpsons Anyway there always is the ultimate limitation, this being the plank length (1.6E-35 (35 zero's and then 16)). Nothing can be smaller than that but it is possible that we are the 1st or 2nd in the chain of atoms.

I do get this theory, and I actually like it. But I also like Theboss' theory on the same subject. But who knows? Maybe they're both true. There might be many other types of "ghosts" for all we know.

Possible, like mine does not explain the ghosts that interact with people. Not sure if this one does though.

Looking at that picture I keep thinking whats beyond the multiverse and whats beyond that and beyond that and beyond that, etc...

Replaced countless "beyond that"'s with , etc..

People invented , etc... for situations like this. But yea, it is a mystery I guess Maybe we are all part of an atom.
