I found this vid about 2012 and the flip of the earth's magnetic field. If this happens then it probably will destroy the world as we know it since it will unleash earthquakes, tsunami's etc
If this gets any nice vieuws we will make this into an SA

2012 is a load of crap. If you believe it, you're nothing but another brain-washed idiot that listens to other brain-washed idiots.
Oh, how do I sustain that argument? Simple. Remember Y2K? Thought so.
Also: on what do you base the second image? Have there been magnetic field studies from -x years? Even with calculations, it would be impossible to determine the exact intensity of the magnetic field of Earth from before Christ was born.
Now that I'm done nerdraging, I'll also give a lot of other arguments on why 2012 is a load of baloney.
Firstly: Mayans were degenerated humans. In my opinion, all their predictions are coincidence. But, even if they were right and foretold everything, it's a possibility they disappeared right when they reached 2012 on their calendar. And it boggles my mind that nobody considered this.
Second: There are literally dozens of theories on how 2012 will play out. I've actually seen an ad on some sites with a meteor falling on earth and reading "2012". Then, the fact that floods will happen and etc etc (which, again, would be a coincidence).
One of the more believable theories is the Return of Christ theory, one which I really believe in. BUT: the Bible says that there will be a time of about a decade of war, and it's in that time that Jesus will reveal himself. It's almost 2010 and that decade of war hasn't happened. So, still, this theory is proven wrong.
In my opinion, the Earth will inevitably change in time. The continents, as mentioned in every geography manual, are in continuous motion - so there will obviously be consequences to this: as in, floods, earthquakes etc. This, however shouldn't be called 'The End of the World', and it'll definitely not happen in 2012.
And the Polar Shift theory is just dumb. I've read it in lots of articles and it actually appeared on TV, which made me think that the people writing the news were either retards, or just didn't have anything to talk about.
Bottom line, 2012 won't happen. I'm willing to make a bet that after 2012 will pass, some idiots will find a new year to call 'The End', and when that year will pass they'll find a new on, and so on.
I believe I've actually read somewhere that they 'properly' translated the Mayan calendar and it said the end will be somewhere in 2208 - though I'm not sure that's the year I read about. I'll google it. In the meantime, I believe we've got ourselves a subject for an SA.
I read through the Wiki article, and as I can see, this theory has been proven to be true. Yet, if the axis of Terra tilts at rates of 1° per million years, it's obvious 2012 won't be the end. So the theory excludes itself from the '2012 - End of the world' scenario, which makes it dumb.

Id like to hear em too thb EDIT: actually, the core can flip suddenly resulting in a fast magnetic flip.

I am fed up of seeing this 2012 crap. I heard the world was supposed to end in 2006 (and countless times before and after till now ).. I am still here. 2012 is about the Mayan Calender. End of story.
Maybe but maybe not, that's what the discussion is about

Well there are many theories about what will happen then like the alignment of the planets and the flip of the magnetic field so if those happen we could die.
