I like it. :3 All you need is a little sticky reminder at the top telling people the rules of it and to not post in other people's blogs without permission.

it would take space and time to integrate with forums + I want to keep attention on the forum not divert it with a blog xD

Make a separate page for the blog article then say like 'Discuss more about this matter over on the forums! (link)' Also. A rant blog would be quite the shiz.
