Dr. Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham after being challenged by his editor to write a book using fewer fifty different words. The nursery rhyme sing a song of six pence was originally used to secretly recruit pirates. The California state flag is supposed to have a pear, not a bear. When the Titanic hit an ice burg, the silent version of The Poseidon Adventure was playing on board January is the Break up month When a Nebraska church exploded in 1950, no one was hurt due to every member of the choir being late for practice that evening.
I'm not feeling very well so I'll post more later.
The Dr. Suess fact is fixed.

Here's some new random facts:
Every 248 years Pluto enters Neptune's orbit and stays there for another 20 years. A year on Pluto is 248 years on Earth. There are around 2,000 meteorites crashed on Earth. Black Holes are invisible. Time and space aren't present within them. You'd disintegrate if you'd enter one. The Sun is about 98.9% of the Solar System's total mass. The highest mountain in the Solar System can be found on Mars. It's called Olympus Mons and is about 24 km high. Galaxies travel in space. Some crash into other galaxies, performing what is called a 'Galaxy Dance'. If you'd be able to travel with the speed of light from one side of the Galaxy to another, it would take you 100,000 years to reach the end.

Borborygmus is the name for the rumbling sounds made by the stomach. Carunculan is the small pink protuberance in the corner of the eye. Fines are the dusty remnants at the bottom of cereal boxes. Hemidemisemiquaver is a musical note played for one-64th the duration of a whole note. The Interrobang is one of the most eloquent punctuation marks in the English language, combining an interrogative point (She said what?!) Aglet is the little plastic or metal tube at the end of your shoelace. Lunula is the white half-moon part at the base of the fingernail or toe nail. It is paler than the rest of the nail because it isn't so firmly attached to the blood vessels and is most visible on the thumbs. Philtrum is the vertical indentation between the upper lip and nose. Rowel is the spiked revolving wheel at the end of a cowboy's spur. Tittle if you've dotted an i, you have tittled, because the little dot above the i is called a tittle. Ullage is the space in a wine bottle not occupied by wine.

A blue whale, which is the largest animal to ever live on the earth, has a heart the size of a Volkswagen beetle and veins big enough to swim it.
Jelly fish don't sting each other because they're made of 95% water and they need to sense protein to sting.
The plural form of fish is fish when talking about one species of fish and fishes when talking about multiple species.
