A crest is a family weapon, every generation had it's own.
So a family that was prominent in the darkages can have dozens of them.

my grandma our better said the italian side of the family also have a crest a royal one originating from a captain on sea long ago

He told me that we have roots in the high circles of the Mongolian empire, then I told him about the high percentage of GK descendants and he agreed that its quite possible. we are all family of each other as we all originate from africa
but im just saying if they can get that far they should be able to know the rest of your family roots

no they check the dna of the person and trace it roots but they like to go all the way back cos the rest isnt that interesting for natgeo

They can't do that because the don't have the DNA of old generations and its different because of recombination.
