Life on Mars Remains May Have Been Discovered: Researchers

Scientists have recently discovered rock formations that could contain early fossilized remnants of life on Mars. (NASA)
Life on Mars may be a reality, researchers are saying, after discovering rocks on Mars that may have been formed by living organisms, stated a report released Friday.

Newly-discovered rock formations on Mars could hold the fossilized remains of early life on the planet, according to a research team with the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) in California, the BBC initially reported.

The ancient rock formations known as Nili Fossae are nearly identical to rock
formations found in Australia in the Pilbara region.


Researchers, who published their report in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters, say this is significant because life was found to be contained in mineral form in the northwest Australian region.

Cool info! Pretty interesting, maybe it was like Earth one day but stupid humans destroyed it like we do it now? :O

We are happy to hear this. More exploration of the red planet will reveal alot that many scientist have speculated on for years. My hunch is that there were humannoids living on the planet Mars. Any comments?

Yeah, I just look at mars and it reminds me of home. I seriously wonder sometimes if we moved from mars to earth.. Kindof like the movie knowing, mars was doomed so they sent some people to earth

I kinda thought this was old news. Weren't fossilized remains found in a mars rock some 6 or 7 years ago?

No I don't think so, I think what your thinkingnof is that fossilized "worm" they found in a moon rock

It really doesn't matter if it's old news or not. The point is that our knowledge of Mars is elevating and proofs are increasingly pointing to a vibrant past life on Mars if not current life on the red planet. I'm excited everyday about what is publicly being released concerning life on Mars. I do believe that there are other humanoids in the Universe besides Earthlings. Here's room for another topic.
